Important Lisk News

Lisk’s AMA did not satisfied its users

They commented that the Ask Me Anything held by Lisk was rather vague.

On September 18, the Lightcurve Development Team for Lisk – a decentralized app and sidechain development platform – held an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on the popular social platform Reddit, in which users expected to have some of the most scratch-my-head questions finally answered in a clear, satisfying way. The result: not what they’ve expected.

Among the main questions urging for a clear answer were the future of the blockchain’s roadmap, a release date for dynamic fee and their SDK, and whether or not they will have cold storage wallets available, among others. Much to their disappointment, the AMA left some of these users with the same amount of information they already handle.

Regarding the roadmap, vice president and CTO Oliver Beddows explained that it will not be released until all aspects have been fully reviewed and approved, in order to avoid repeating the same mistake with the previous roadmap presented on November, touted with “overly optimistic estimations of the workflow”. Therefore, a release date for their SDK is also reserved.

Users react

As the AMA came to an end and a summary of the questions and answers were published on Lisk Magazine, users expressed their feelings towards the way Lightcurve Development Team approached the queries.

On Reddit, a user opened a discussion on r/Lisk commenting how disappointed he was from the AMA, and that the community already had “full knowledge” of the basic answers, while complaining for the shy approach they had to the more difficult ones. Several users agreed with his statement, while others came in defense of Lisk’s performance.

“They did nearly answer most of them […] I enjoyed the AMA, and the only thing I missed was a statement about sidechains”, another redditor responded.

Lisk Magazine concluded that – per the users’ opinion – the Ask Me Anything was rather vague, without adding anything new.
